Deserves more than 5* - Absolute perfection
We stayed here last week and had a fantastic stay in Llyn Dinas lodge. The lodge consists of a king size bedroom (very comfy bed and pillows) with an ensuite shower and toilet plus a walk in wardrobe, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with bath and overhead shower, open plan living area / kitchen / dining area, plus a utility room with washer/dryer and a good size hall way to allow the removal of muddy boots before entering on to the carpet. There is allocated car parking alongside each lodge and a large wrap around deck with table and chairs and a hot tub.
We received a very friendly greeting on arrival and were shown to the lodge and given instructions on how to use the hot tub.
On entering the lodge we were more than impressed on how immaculate everything was, it appeared as if it was brand new and we were the first guests.
All the furniture, crockery, glassware, appliances were of very good quality and you could tell a lot of thought was put into it.
Small details mean a lot, here there were plenty including kitchen foil, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, a selection of welsh produce and a small vase of fresh flowers.
The park is small (7 lodges and 2 cottages) with space to expand and amazing views over fields and trees. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. There aren't any facilities in the park, but that doesn't bother us. We feel this is perfect for couples or small families that don't need entertainment.
The lovely village of Betws-y-Coed is only a 10 minute walk away along a pavement and has a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and some lovely woodland / river walks.
We were very fortunate that our lodge wasn't booked after our check out date and we were allowed to extend our stay by a couple more nights, which we really appreciated and is a bonus of booking with a small family run business.
Betws-y-Coed is the perfect base for exploring the area with the whole of Snowdonia accessible in less than 40 minutes (by car)
We would love to return to the area and would definitely chose to stay at Hendre Rhys Gethin again.
Thanking the owners for a wonderful stay.

5 * Luxury Lodge in Excellent Location.
My husband and I have just spent two weeks in the Llyn Dinas Lodge on this fantastic quite site. On our arrival we were met by Dwynwen who showed us to our lodge and explained how the hot tub worked.
On entering the lodge it definitely had the wow factor. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was made up for our arrival and we had bathrobes, slippers and lovely fluffy white towels. A nice touch were the fresh flowers and some lovely local Welsh foods left for us to try.
The site itself is wonderful with fantastic views from the lodges and very well kept lawns and gardens. It was so quite and peaceful too. It was an easy walk into Betwys Y Coed where there were many restaurants and cafes to eat out if you so wanted. Also numerous walks that you could do without even going out in the car.
Betwys Y Coed is very pretty and a great base for a holiday in Wales. If you wanted to go out sight seeing most places were easily reached in 30 - 40 minutes.
Dwynwen was so lovely and very friendly. We enjoyed our chats with her in the morning when she came to check the hot tub. She would always ask if there was anything we needed and gave us tips on where to go and places to visit.
If you are looking for a lively site with lots going on then this is not for you but if you want 5* luxury in a quite and peaceful location then don’t hesitate to book it as I,m sure you will have a fabulous time like we have. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked to return the same time next year.

The lodges were beautiful, hot tub was so relaxing and private which made things much nicer and easier to relax. The little goodies left for us were such a lovely touch. With everything going on at the moment they dealt with it all so well which made us feel more comfortable. We’ve both been working since the start of lockdown and this week has been so lovely to destress and have some time for us together and it lived up to every expectation we had. Can’t recommend it more and hopefully we’ll be back soon. Thank you :)
